Twelve Years

On Tuesday, it was twelve years since I moved to Japan. My, how time flies. I arrived in Hokkaido during a blizzard. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to start a new life here and I am thankful every day, even for the mountains of snow those first few years.

Arriving in a blizzard would be challenging! Good to see you enjoying life in Japan.

Nice photos of you in the snow. Many greetings to Japan from Viola from Germany.
I like snow and we have some too... that makes me happy.
I would like to visit your blog often.
I really enjoy doing handicrafts and sewing from time to time.
A hug for you.

That's certainly a priceless memory!
What made you move there?

Yes, you came to Japan in the year of the dragon.
Ted has prepared a variety of things for you to live in the snowy land of Hokkaido. Boots and gloves for snowy countries.
I also miss your favorite Indian restaurant and Haruki supermarket.
And, I miss the difficult system of boiling a bath, wandering cats, etc.
I met you about five years after you came to Japan.
I read your blog from the beginning because I wanted to know about you until you met me. It was my first time reading someone else’s blog, but I read a little every day and learned about the difference between Japan and America.
You started living in Shizuoka due to a transfer, and thanks to that I was able to meet you.
I imagine that you were often confused by Japanese laws and rules in your daily life, but you were always positive.
Thank you very much for falling in love with Japan and continuing to live there. I think it's okay because there are many Japanese people who love you, but I will always help you as well.🙋
