So far
I have basted the squares and looked at the pictures in the book. Next step – put the fabric in the hoop and
thread up a needle. Stay tuned….

Ribbons & Threads - A New Start
I’ve
just started a new project - one of my New Year’s Resolution pieces for 2013.
It’s a miniature quilt, patterned after the Baltimore album style quilts, done
in silk ribbons and threads. The receipt
in the bag with the thread is dated 30 May 1997. Isn’t it about time I stitched this piece? I
remember buying the book and the threads at a quilt show in Indianapolis. I
acquired the fabric at a later time. I
can’t tell you how many times I’ve pulled this out, intending to start on it,
then put it away again.

Oh, I am sure this will be a beautiful piece and hope you report on the progress. It was time it got out of the bag and into the hoop. Have fun!
