Grocery Store Freebie
Ted and
I were at the Co-op grocery store (not our usual store) the other day, and a young woman gave us
these two little cans of beer as a promotion for a new type of beer. Ted said we should shop there more often.

Is the second symbol to ? と ?
I always used to love the surprise giveaways in Japan. We don't get that much here in NZ except at the beauty counters of department stores.
I think so. The kanji at the beginning is barley. the little curling hiragana would be " to" (and) and the katana says "hoppu" (hops).
Attractive packaging, was it any good?
Ted said it was better than the regular Sapporo beer he drinks because it was free!
It's the thing I miss the most from Korea. They call it "service" there. I wish they'd adopt it in North America.
