Mr. Donut
In the
US, you expect to get a refill on your coffee.
Here in Japan, a cup of coffee is expensive and you don’t get a second
cup, unless you go to Mr. Donut. The
coffee is good, the cup a good size, and you get a refill. If that’s not enough, you can also get a
donut for 100 yen. There are lots of choices, but Ted always gets a chocolate
donut and I like an airy sugar donut.

The cost of a second cup of coffee in Japan is sometimes half of the first one, but usually you will have to pay for a new cup. You then also get a NEW cup, and the empty one is taken away. FAR from the customs of Sweden, where coffee is drunk as 'gasoline for humans' and refills are obvious!
Interesting how countries have different customs. Thanks for sharing.
Look at all those donuts! Is the coffee expensive because it's not as popular as tea?
