The travel industry has been hit hard since the pandemic began earlier this year. Travelers from 129 countries aren't welcome right now, so Japan's travel companies are looking to its own citizens. Japan Railways East (JR East) is offering half price Shinkansen (bullet train) tickets from August 20, 2020 to March 31, 2021 on 11 different routes.

● Kagayaki: Tokyo and Kanazawa (Ishikawa)

Sounds like great prices, it saddens me that so many business's are suffering due to the pandemic.
