Myrtle Beach, SC Quilt Show 2007

There haven't been many quilt shows the last few years because of the pandemic.  When I was looking through some older photos, I came across these quilt photos from the February 2007 quilt show in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Do you have a favorite?

Wow, that was a lot to see. One was stunning visually. But another had such little pieces stitched to perfection. It's hard to make a favorite choice. Before we moved here, one of my blog friends talked about a quilt show in Tehachapi CA which is REALLY near me. The next time I go to town I'm going to stop in the quilt shop and ask if there are plans for a future show. I have never been to one and would definitely go. Back in Indiana Shipshewana IN always had an annual show but I never went. Since it's the heart of Indiana Amish country I was pretty sure it would be full of traditional quilting. I'm not too into "traditional".

These are all fabulous. I'm always amazed at how many different patterns emerge!

Wonderful lots of quilts, very hard to pick a favourite, I do love the dragonflies though, and the bookcase....

They are all very colourful, aren't they?
If I were to pick one to hang on the wall, I'd chose the bookcase or the handbag collection. For a bedcover I would want the large one made up of small squares (that the visitor is studying keenly).
Which is YOUR pick, Pamela?

It is interesting to see a collection from 15 years ago and see if quilt fashions have changed in that time.

My favourites are probably the little hanging basket with zygocactus (Christmas cactus), and the 2nd-last one with the scrappy blocks of squares and triangles. That seems quite a timeless classic.

I think I like the first two best - such vibrant colours!
