Japanese Man, 83, Oldest to Sail Solo Nonstop Across Pacific
Kenichi Hori, 83 year old Japanese ocean adventurer, became the world's oldest person to make a solo, nonstop 8,500 kilometer trip across the Pacific Ocean on a yacht earlier this month. He set sail from San Francisco, California on March 27th.
Sixty years ago he became the first yachtsman to cross the Pacific alone, starting in Japan. He was 23 years old when he sailed to California in about 90 days. He wants to keep challenging himself until he becomes a centenarian. I say Good for him and Go for it!

What an achievement!
I have seen him reaching his destination so many times. Often he has crossed the ocean in a sailboat made of recycled material and used wind and wave power only. Read more here:

What a man! That is a great achievement.
These Japanese oldsters keep amazing me! It must be terrifying to find yourself on small boat in the middle of the big ocean, all alone.
