Spring Training

Yesterday we put on our snow shoes and headed out toward the nearby forest.  We went through the university athletic fields and were surprised to see the baseball team out at the baseball field.  When I think of spring training, I think of the team practicing in a warm place like Florida or Arizona or Okinawa. The university team was shoveling out waist deep holes in the snow on the baseball field.  I guess this is weight training -?

We made our way to the forest and found out it was still closed because of the bear in October!  Don’t bears hibernate?

We wandered around near the entrance a bit and decided not to take any chances in case the bear was still around.

After being out about two hours, we thought it was a good morning of exercise and we went home for lunch.

Better safe than sorry! I think you got your day's worth of exercise anyway. The bear risk might also have given you some extra time for needlework?!
