The Camino - Part 2, Porto

After traveling more than 24 hours to get to Porto, I was tired but wanted to be on Portugal time as soon as possible since I would begin my walk the next day.  I spent the afternoon walking around the historic area of Porto before heading to my hotel.

The scallop shell and yellow arrow are the symbols and direction signs for the Camino.

I'll be back soon with photos of my walk.

Hi, Pamela! Thank you for sharing your lovely walks in Portugal. I’m especially attracted by the cityscape containing lots of slopes and steps and beautiful architectures.

Thank you for leaving a nice comment on my blog. Seeing form your blog title, you love Hokkaido, don’t you? I do love. I traveled around Hokkaido with a backpack in two weeks when I was a college student, long time ago. Enjoy your life in Shizuoka.

What a great place to visit.

Aren't those tiles something else? even on the cathedrals. I always wonder why they're not more popular in other countries apart from Portugal and Spain. Looks as if your room might have had a birdseye view. It must be a very nice hotel.

The tiles everywhere, and the architecture generally, are lovely. Walking is a great way to take in all those details, rather than zooming past in mechanised transport. This must have been a wonderful trip.

What a gorgeous city. I love those tiles, especially on the church in the photo near the top. Really lovely. This is a country I've never visited and I find it might be calling me one day!
