Hina Matsuri



In Japan, March 3rd is Hina Matsuri, the day to celebrate girl children and to pray for their health and happiness.

My elementary day used to have a girls' day (when we brought dolls) and a boys day (kites). I think it's kind of wonderful, though I suspect these days there would be fewer dolls.
