Friday Finish - Kogin Table Runner

Originally, this was going to be a bag because the book where I got the pattern showed it as a bag.  I changed my mind and decided on a table runner. I backed it with a white and blue yukata fabric. The finished size is about 26" x 14".

This is a great book.  It is in Japanese, but the illustrations are excellent and there is no need to read anything.

Kogin-zashi is beautiful. A uniform world that expands every time you stab. I fell that Kogin-zashi is insisted on each occasion. Stitch needles and threads tell story. wonderful.🐥
And like Pamela, which turns the bag into table liner. I think the choice of yukata lining is a good choice.

Good choice! As a table runner you can see ALL the beautiful stitches at once. The backing is also pretty enough to be the top, form time to time. They will have to take turns being the table runner's top!

Beautiful stitching and I love the blue and white combination. I have several table runners.

Oh, that's beautiful! Also less chance of the white thread getting dirty.
