Kaizoji Temple, Kamakura

This is a gorgeous, small temple that is a little off the main track, but well worth visiting. Its entrance is almost hidden in a residential area.

There is a little cave shrine at this temple.

It's hard to see but there is a large white bird across the pond in the purple flowers.

Beautiful. Always lovely to find something hidden away. We were in Dunster recently and took what we thought was a short cut - but wasn't - and found a dovecot with a beautifully tended garden. A lovely surprise which most visitors will never see. xx

That is a 'find'. I have never been to this temple, but will look it up next time I go to Kamakura. It looks very tranquil.

A beautiful spot to visit. It is lovely to see the gardens in spring with so many flowers blooming.
