Matsue Castle Shrines - Matsue Gokoku-jinga and Jozan Inari-jinga

I visited two shrines on the grounds of or very close to Matsue Castle.

The first was Matsue Gokoku-jinga. There were no other people around, but it looked rather modern - or as modern as shrines can look.

The second was Jozan Inari-jinga. Inari shrines are the fox and red torii shrines.  This one had millions (I'm not exagerating) of foxes.

Really a lot of foxes.
The little white fox may have been purchased at shrine. It may have been returned by the person who fulfilled the role and purchased it.
I like the last photo.
Small and sober,but God’s house.

I just LOVE when I see the red. It just pops against the wood and cement. These are both lovely and peaceful.
