I suppose it is better to carry a small project (or several) with you than to spend time away wishing you had something to do!
I think it will get better and better from now on.
Of course you didn't! You were having fun. You'll finish when you can!
It's very appropriate to do the sumo wrestler sashiko now, as the January tournament is on. I bet you will finish it before the two week's of wrestling is up!
Even a little bit is better than none at all.
The sashiko looks fun!
