Ogaki Castle

One the first day of my Castle Vacation, I left my home in Shizuoka by train, traveled across Aichi, and my first stop was in Gifu Prefecture.

Ogaki Castle

It was a pretty day and I was the only person wandering around the castle grounds.

A long trip for you. I'm glad back to good health.
Gifu a place that has been the cornerstone of old battles.
You walked alone. I think there used to be a lot of dramas on that road.
Not only fighting, but women may have gathered and talked about fun. The merchant may have walked with the goods on his back. It's the pleasure of travelling to think about it.
I'm glad you journey started in great weather.🏯☀

A nice first stop on your Castle Vacation!

Is that a bit of snow I can see on the ground in some of your photos?

I agree with Toki-san , you are walking in the footsteps of lords, merchants and tourists - as you tread alone over the castle grounds. You have indeed been blessed with good weather, considering the heavy snowfall this winter, and in places where snow is usually not see so often.

Another very pretty castle! The story about the pine tree escape was interesting, I wonder if it's true.
