Springtime in Japan means Sakura. Everyone in Japan looks forward to the beautiful cherry blossom season. Weathernews says it will be an early sakura season again this year, predicting 5 - 10 days earlier than in 1991-2020.

In my area, it looks like March 21st will be the forecasted date. When will spring (or autumn) start where you live?
Based on today's weather I would say spring is an ice age away - it is that cold in Tokyo. So will the cherry actually start blooming in just a week's time? Hm...?
I still have not been accustomed to when each season starts here. I don't think spring has sprung in the mountains yet, though our plum trees are starting to bud. The news showed that the Almond trees in the valley have begun to flower. The mountains have greened since we have received a bit of rain. It doesn't take much for the mountain grass to grow and the sheep have been going up every day. Our nights are still near freezing. xx, Carol

How accurate are these predictions, do you know?
It is officially autumn here (started on 1st March) and it feels like it too. Fortunately autumn is my favourite season.
Autumn for us is supposed to start March 1st, but the garden tells us it is more like about the 21st March.
