Sunday Stitch Group - Cocoon Animals

We had some gorgeous show and tell. First some finished projects.

Next, a crazy quilt hussif in the works. I have to admit it - seeing someone else working on a crazy quilt project makes me want to do it also.

The new project was a little different from what we usually do.  This was a one day project, using glue and an exacto knife instead of needles and thread. We changed silk worm cocoons into little animal fobs. These kits came from the gift shop at the Traditional Crafts Museum in Kanazawa.

These are our finished cocoon animals. (Mine is the panda in the center).

Tea Time

Don't you think this is the most fun stitch group there ever was?

Those boxes are very pretty. And I LOVE the cocoon animals! (They'd be cute Christmas ornaments, too!)
