Autumn Equinox Day - 秋分の日, Shūbun no Hi

Today is the national holiday Autumn Equinox Day. (Yes, this is the second holiday in Japan this week.) It became a national holiday in 1947 and marks the autumnal equinox.

It's our second public holiday this week, too. Yesterday was the national day of mourning for the Queen. Today is a state public holiday because it is the "day before the football final"!

Enjoy your free day.
I guess some smart and lucky people took leave on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to get a nine-day consecutive holiday. A good chance for travelling.
