This is a gorgeous place that I have visited every time I've been in Naha. It was opened in 1992, commemorating the ten years of friendship with Naha's sister city in China.
At first, I thought this bird was made of stone, but it moved!
Such a beautiful garden, it looks exotic to us who are so used to seeing Japanese gardens and architecture. How many ways of writing are there in China? It's interesting to compare the two requests of not throwing used toilet paper into the waste paper bin. Why do you think the Japanese request is in such small print? Common sense in Japan?
This park is gorgeous. I love the pond with the pagoda (?) at the far end. And I can see why you might have been duped by the heron! What a glorious sight. I think this might be my fave of your vacation posts!
Hello Pamela: This place looks so serene and comforting. The bird is beautiful, I too would have thought it was a statue. I love the fish it looks like they are feeding.
