Tomei-in Temple

This seems to be a very private temple.  I walked all the way around the block and the only entrance I saw led to the cemetery part.  The door was closed with a bar across on the inside, so no one could enter.  I peeked through the crack in the door and took one photo.  This is very mysterious.  Maybe no one is allowed in because of the pandemic.

The graves all look quite new and shiny. Mind you, I don't know how long it takes granite to start to weather or grow lichen!

Must be to keep it safe, although I can not imagine Japanese people damaging a grave in any way.

Pamela: This is interesting, hopefully it is locked because of pandemic.
The head stones are so close together.

I find the cemeteries very interesting. Those stones fascinate me.

It seems strange that all the others temples and shrines are open during the pandemic, but this one isn't. I'm sure there is a reason behind it!
