Work In Progress Wednesday

Hand quilting of the Mystery Quilt continues.  I didn't start with a plan for how to quilt this. I began by quilting around the big blocks.  After that, I added more where I thought needed more.  When I think it is enough, I will stop.

A new project is a beaded nutcracker.  I made a set of four the first winter I was in Japan (here). It took a little while to get this started, but once I had four or five rows in, I was fine.

My other project this week was the House Quilt.  The next border has hexagon flowers.  I have one side complete and attached, one side with the flowers pinned, and the flowers made for the top and bottom. It's coming along. I like how scrappy this quilt top looks.

I love the houses and the strips of the inner border. Can't wait to see the whole quilt.

Completion of the Mystery quilt is Pamela will. I'm looking forward to it more and more.

Beaded nutcracker. It cute. I think the
width will be adjusted by increasing or
decreasing the number of beads in one step.
It is careful task to decide which stage to increase or decrease.

I adore that blue and yellow -- and that house quilt remains one of my faves!

I think the House quilt is a great sampler of patchwork styles. Yes, it is a lovely 'scrappy' quilt.
