Birthday Pandas
My birthday month is coming to a close. A big thank you to everyone who helped me celebrate, and who sent me greetings and gifts. A few new pandas have joined my collection this month. I love pandas almost as much as I love my birthday. Thank you!

2018 Smalls Stitch A Long - December
This month's ornament is another cathedral windows creation. I used red kimono fabric for the base and green cotton fabrics for the 1/2 windows. I like how it turned out.

The Stitch Group Christmas Party
The stitchers met Sunday. First we had a little show and tell, with two finished butterfly bags.
One stitcher wore her bargello broach (bargello was one of last year's projects).
Four of us made NHK Partnership quilt blocks last summer and we have received the quilt show postcards showing the quilt numbers our blocks are in. We are looking forward to going to the show in January.
Our current stitching project is a small cathedral windows project. We talked and stitched and I remembered to take pictures of their progress.
I worked a little more on the mug rug that I formerly thought was finished.
Pizza is for parties. We had pizza at our last get together and we had it again this time.
Oishi katta!
Until next year...

Lunch and the Pop Circus
Yesterday, three friends and I went to lunch at a fabulous restaurant in Fuji City called Cannery Row, then we went to the Pop Circus. The circus was all people performers, not animals
Recently it was rainy here, so Fuji San got more snow. This was taken from the train station.
Yesterday was the first time I had been to this restaurant. If I lived closer to it, I would probably go to it every week. It was Viking (which means buffet), plus pasta, plus drinks, plus a dessert sampler that we shared. I had grapefruit juice and cappuccino to drink.
This is the outside of the restaurant. I love living where flowers are still blooming in December.
After lunch, it was onto the circus.
What an exciting show! I was amazed by all of it.

The Elementary School Art Show
Usually the old City Hall Building in Shizuoka is closed when I am there on the weekend.
My friend and I noticed it was open on a Saturday afternoon, so we decided to take a look inside.
There was an art festival going on! I think the theme was local sites and events. I recognized many places I've visited in the area - Nihondaira Zoo, Sengen Shrine, other shrines or temples, the lantern festival, Miho Lighthouse, bugs, Mt. Fuji, the Shimizu Port, fireworks, the Toro Ruins, S-Pulse soccer team, sakura shrimp, Sumpu Castle, an onsen, Tanabata Festival, strawberries, green tea picking, cherry blossoms, Minato Festival.
I took photos of all of the pictures, but I am only showing a few. Otherwise it would be a very long post.
